We are proud to announce that our research paper, „Information Security Risk Management and AI-Specific Risks in Innovation Management“<\/em>, was accepted and presented at the 21st International Conference Management and Safety (M&S 2026), held on 19\u201320 June 2026 in Banja Vru\u0107ica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n

The paper was authored by our colleagues Natalija Jovi\u010di\u0107 Zari\u0107<\/a>, Dusan Nogovic<\/a><\/strong>, and Aleksandar Mi\u0107a\u0161evi\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, whose work contributes to the growing conversation around responsible innovation, information security, and the safe adoption of emerging technologies.<\/p>\n

Addressing AI Risks in Innovation Management<\/h2>\n

As organizations increasingly integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their business processes, innovation brings not only new opportunities but also new risks. Effective innovation management requires organizations to understand and address challenges related to information security, governance, compliance, and organizational resilience.<\/p>\n

The research explores the evolving landscape of AI risk management<\/strong>, with a particular focus on information security risks, AI-specific threats, governance frameworks, and the mechanisms organizations can implement to strengthen resilience while maintaining innovation capabilities.<\/p>\n

Innovation, Safety, and Sustainable Business Development<\/h2>\n

The M&S 2026 conference brought together researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners from across the region to exchange knowledge and experiences in management, occupational safety and health, environmental protection, risk management, innovation, sustainability, and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n

Under this year’s theme, „Innovation Management and Safety“<\/em>, the conference emphasized the importance of balancing technological advancement with safety, responsibility, and long-term sustainability.<\/p>\n

Our paper highlights that responsible innovation extends beyond technology implementation. It also requires organizations to consider the broader impact of innovation on workplace safety, employee well-being, and sustainable business development.<\/p>\n

Contributing to Responsible Innovation and Digital Trust<\/h2>\n

As AI adoption accelerates across industries, organizations must establish robust approaches to managing technology-related risks while preserving trust and ensuring business continuity. Research and collaboration between academia and industry play a crucial role in developing practical frameworks that support safe and responsible innovation.<\/p>\n
