Intelligent automation (IA) is a combination of technologies such as RPA (automation of routine tasks), artificial intelligence (AI/ML), and intelligent document processing (IDP), whose goal is to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate business processes.
This training is an interactive session focused on identifying the processes most suitable for the application of advanced technologies such as RPA, IDP, NLP, and AI/ML models. Through structured analysis and teamwork, participants learn how to identify tasks and business flows that meet the criteria for intelligent automation – such as high volume, repetitive steps, stable input data, and low need for human judgment.
The training is intended for employees from the business sector (operations, finance, support, HR, sales) and the IT sector who participate in process optimization and want to systematically discover IA opportunities in their work.
The training is designed in 180 minutes (one day). During the training, you go through three different segments (each lasting 60 minutes).
01 Introduction to IA and criteria for selecting candidates (60 min)
Basic concepts: IA = RPA + AI + IDP + NLP
Typical IA processes in business - examples by function
Criteria for a good IA candidate (stability, volume, data structure)
Group analysis: evaluation of example processes through the IA checklist
02 Process mapping and potential assessment (60 min)
Mini-exercise: teams analyze 2-3 examples of processes from their environment
Prioritization: high benefit vs complexity
Value vs effort matrix for IA
Discussion: which processes have the fastest payback and highest potential
03 Discussion and next steps (60 min)
Group Insights - What are the most common types of IA candidates
IA pipeline: how to prepare the process for the IA team / CoE
The most common mistakes in IA assessments
Closing discussion and Q&A
